Looking Forward to 2026

As of today, there are just 10 days left in 2025. Before we know it, players will be reporting to Camelback Ranch. The Dodgers first spring game is against the Angels on February 21st. There will still be some player additions either non-roster or to the 40-man. As far as a major addition such as a free agent signing, that remains to be seen. So far, the Dodger brass seems to not be in a hurry to add an impact offensive player via free agency.

There may be a trade in the works that we have not gotten wind of yet. A few of the players that the Dodgers were linked with are also coveted by other teams, and we know AF does not like to get into bidding wars with other teams. As fans we have to just wait and see what moves they will make prior to the arrival of players in Arizona.

I cannot see much of a scenario where a non-roster signee will have much of a chance to crack the 26-man opening day roster let alone the 40-man.

Hopefully that unclogs the market. I want Bregman to Toronto, Bellinger to Mets, and we get either Tucker or Bichette

I think the Yankees are going to fight a little harder for Bellinger, the Mets have already signed two of the Yanks former players that the Yanks were hoping to retain, losing belly to the Mets would be some major egg on the Yanks face.
