Why an LAD Trade Will Be Difficult (IMO)
It takes two teams wanting to make a specific trade to get it done. ...
Kershaw’s season is done. He spoke to reporters about the injury and revealed that his attempts to return from the injury have worsened his toe’s condition. Kershaw added that offseason surgery to address the bone spurs is “in the conversation” but indicated that no decision has been made to this point on the topic. When addressing his future Kershaw indicated that he still enjoys pitching but did not want to discuss his plans in detail until after the season has come to a close.
A sad and frustrating way to end his season.
And, maybe, his career.
philles performance could spur more “layoff is bad” discussion, but don’t tell Cleveland
Talk about service. Well worth the price!
Thanks Jeff.
Freddie is in the starting lineup despite what most outlets were saying. Rojas back too batting ninth.
Watching Vanderbilt-Alabama. 2 minutes left and Vandy is up 40-35. Buehler must be ecstatic. Even if they happen to lose, has to be a huge boost for the program.
Vandy-40 to Bama-35. Biggest upset of the year. Wow. Didn’t see that coming.
SC tied with Minnesota with 2 minutes to go and the Gophers on the 5 yead line.
I expect the Dodger’s bats to be rusty from the 5-day layoff (and the longer layoffs for both Freeman and Rojas). So basically, Yamamoto must perform like the pitching ace he was advertised to be in Japan, ..and the Dodgers defense must back him with stellar play in the field, ..if the Dodgers are to have any chance of winning tonight’s game.
Well, so far I’m wrong. Yamamoto was bad, but the Dodgers are winning a high-scoring affair thru the 8th-inning. Hopefully, they hang on and win this one.
Wayne, sometimes it’s good to be wrong!
And they did hang on.
I love being wrong …sometimes, hehe.
Buckle your seat belts. Return your seat to the upright position, close and lock your tray table, ensure all bags are stowed beneath the seat in front of you or in the overhead compartment. We are expecting some turbulence and a bumpy ride.
Go Dodgers!!!
Excellent Ohio
Yamamoto has now given up 11 runs in 7 innings to Padres.
Here we go…..
Enjoy everyone!
Here we go……. again! Yuk!
We paid what for this guy? All reports were that he was a strike thrower.
Looks like we’re watching the John Smoltz show. Joe Davis is having a hard time getting a word in. Smoltz, shut the hell up!
Very sloppy start.
SHOHEI!!!!!!!!!!
Sho-Boom!!!
Once again starting pitching just kills us! The moment was just too big for Yamamoto
I believe Yamamoto had Merril struck out. I think it was him. But yeah, Yamamoto doesn’t have command of his pitches. And an error by Teo. Very sloppy play by the Dodgers early.
Not a very impressive pitching performance by Yamamoto. He should be done after three innings pitched. Going to have to win an 8-7 game it appears.
at an event, following on the phone.
what did the announcement team say about intentionally walking Betts?!???
The offense has certainly fought. Edman did the right thing bunting. Rojas big hit. I would never have walked Betts. Freeman 2-3 but he always seems to hit ground balls with runners in scoring position. Pads got lucky on the play at the plate.Dodgers got lucky they walked Betts. Ohtani unreal! Teo hit was huge!!! He has done it all year. If Muncy keeps giving terrible at bats he would b my first trade in the offseason
Im sure terrible at bats, age and injury history will really help his trade value!
Smartass to the end!!
dfa mucy and the GOAT
Muncy is not getting DFAd. He has a contract for 14 million next year, which for a guy like him is very reasonable, and a 10-million-dollar team option in 26. They could possibly trade him, but that is doubtful. Kershaw will either have surgery to fix his toe, or he will retire.
I know they are not going to dfa muncy. I was just messing with the GOAT. We can’t dfa him either.
It would be nice to see him hitting again. Same with Mookie.
USC loses to Minnesota. Embarrassing.
They just are not competitive in the trenches. Moss was running for his life all night!
Going with Kopech to take down the 8th inning was the right move by Doc. Kopech didn’t get it done.
Wasn’t pretty, but, he got it done.
Who pitches the 9th? Treinen, Henriquez or Hudson. Treinen going a second inning, Hudson is wobbly and Henriquez is a rookie. All of those options concern me…….
And the top of their order is due up. Yeah, it’s concerning.
Finally a gritty, gutsy October win! Flaherty needs to give us some quality length tomorrow.
Well great opener!!! Same ole thing terrible starting pitching but the offense wasn’t the same they performed. Treinen done for a couple but u got to get a win!!
Whew!!
You can always count on the over-anxious Machado to be an overly-aggressive, undisciplined hitter in clutch situations.
Fantastic and exciting victory. Almost everyone except Muncy made a contribution. Bullpen was outstanding except for Kopech. Thank goodness for all the day offs. The bullpen is going to need the rest.
On to tomorrow.
Have to say it.
Hope I’m not jinxing it, like that guy intimated the other day.
Roberts was great (at least from a phone based watching experience)
Also useful is that L.A. scored more runs tonight than they scored in all 3 games last Postseason.
