MiLB Game Summary – 1 Win and 3 Losses

Round Rock Express (Texas) 6 – OKC Comets 3

The Oklahoma City Comets loaded the bases in the ninth inning, but were unable to complete a comeback in a 6-3 loss to the Round Rock Express.  Entering the ninth inning trailing by three runs, the Comets (10-5) loaded the bases without a hit via two walks and a Hyeseong Kim HBP with two outs. Express pitcher Codi Heuer then struck out Alex Freeland to end the game.

Round Rock had built a 6-0 lead through six innings, including a two-run home run by Trevor Hauver in the first inning, two-run single by Tucker Barnhart in the fifth inning and a RBI groundout and sacrifice fly by the Express in the sixth inning. All three Comets runs scored in the seventh inning when Chris Okey lined a three-run home run (1) out to left field.

Justin Wrobleski started and completed 4.0 innings.  He gave up 2 runs on 1 hit, but 6 BB.  He struck out four.  The lone hit Wrobo gave up was a 2-run HR.

Nick Frasso followed Wrobleski.  In 3.0 IP, Frasso gave up 4 runs on 6 hits, 1 BB, 1 K.

Joe Jacques pitched a scoreless 8th.

Despite losses in two of the final three games of the road series in Round Rock, the Comets won the series, 4-2…Oklahoma City has now won all three of its first three series to start the season.

Chris Okey has now hit safely in five straight games, going 6-for-17 with three extra-base hits and eight RBI.

With Chris Okey’s home run, the Comets have now homered in six straight games, racking up 18 homers during their road trip in Round Rock.

Alex Freeland went 1-for-4 with a walk and has hit safely in eight of his last nine games, batting .439 (18-for-41) with six doubles, a home run, 15 RBI and eight runs scored since April 4.

Hyeseong Kim singled and has now hit safely in 10 of his last 11 games, batting .308 (16-for-52) with nine extra-base hits, nine RBI and 15 runs scored.

FWIW, Dalton Rushing has not played since April 9, the last 4 games.

Arkansas Travelers (Seattle) 4 – Tulsa Drillers 0

Jerming Rosario started for Tulsa.  After pitching a clean 3.0 innings, he gave up a 3-run HR in the 4th.  That was all that Arkansas needed.  Rosario completed 4.0 innings, and allowed 2 runs on 5 hits and 1 BB, with 5 K.  Antonio Knowles pitched a scoreless 2.0 innings in relief and Ronan Kopp pitched 1.0 scoreless inning.

Tulsa got their 4th run off Tanner Kiest.  He struck out 3 in his 1.0 IP, but surrendered 4 hits to score the run.

The Drillers got two hits, a single by John Rhodes, and a double (1) by Chris Newell.

Tulsa dropped to 1-8 after this game.

Box Score

Lansing Lugnuts (A’s) 12 – Great Lakes Loons 11

The Great Lakes Loons delivered 11 runs off 14 hits but it was not enough to best the Lansing Lugnuts.

Once again the bullpen fell apart. The Loons had a 6 run lead going into the bottom of the 9th.  Reynaldo Yean entered in the 9th.   Lansing got a leadoff double, two walks with one out, and a groundout that pushed across a run. Lugnuts’ eight-hitter Casey Yamauchi was hit by a pitch to load the bases.

Jesus Luna relieved Yean followed by another walk that pushed across another run. It set up Rodney Green Jr. who with the bases loaded rocked an 0-2 pitch over the right field fence to tie the game.

Lansing left a combined three men on in the 10th and 11th. A Sahid Valenzuela diving defensive play at shortstop stranded three Great Lakes runners in the top of the 11th.

Kendall George homered twice. The Dodgers No. 15 prospect went yard in the third inning and then gave Great Lakes an 11-9 lead in the 12th with a 427-foot blast to centerfield. George had one home run in 86 games last season in Low-A.

Once again the bullpen could not hold a lead.  Christian Ruebeck was pitching the bottom of the 12th.  Down two in the 12th, Cole Conn led off the inning with an RBI double scoring the placed runner. A walk and wild pitch gave Jared Dickey a chance to win it, which he did with a two-run single to shallow right field.

Zyhir Hope was the hitting star.  He drove in three runs with four hits. A homer shy of the cycle, the Dodgers No. 6 prospect had a two-run double in the fourth and an RBI double in the eighth. Hope posted 10 RBI this week and now leads the Midwest League with 13.

  • Zyhir Hope – 4-7, 1 run, 3 RBI, 2 doubles (3), triple (1)
  • Kendall George – 2-5, 2 BB, 3 runs, 3 RBI, 2 HR (2)
  • Kole Myers – 1-2, 4 BB, 2 runs, double (2)
  • Doubles – Cameron Decker (1), Wilman Diaz (1), Jordan Thompson (2)
  • HR – Logan Wagner – HR (2)

The Quakes got both good hitting with excellent pitching to pick up the LAD affiliates lone victory on Sunday.  The Quakes got 12 hits including 4 HRs.

Kellon Lindsey led off the game with a BB and stole 2ndJoendry Vargas singled home Lindsey, and the Quakes got on the board early.

RC scored 4 in the 2ndElijah Hainline singled and moved to 2nd when Jose Meza was HBP.  After a WP, Victor Rodriguez hit a sacrifice fly to plate Hainline.  Raynerd Ortega hit a 2-run (1), and that was followed by Kellon Lindsey’s first professional HR (1).

In the 3rd, Vargas was HBP and stole 2nd.  He scored on a Samuel Munoz single to give RC a 6-0 lead.

Rancho starter 20 year old RHP Christian Zazueta was sharp across 4.1 innings, striking out seven in the no-decision.  Zazueta came over from NYY last year in the Caleb Ferguson trade.

20 year old RHP Marco Corcho snagged the win with 1.2 innings of scoreless relief.

The Quakes scored three in the 8th. The first run was scored on Ortega’s 2nd HR (2) of the game. After a Lindsey BB, Eduardo Quintero hit a 2-run long ball (2).

Duke Not Snider

I appreciate the minor league reports all the more when the big club seems to be in a funk.
Instead of wins and losses, we check on individual performances in the minors.
Two HRs by Kendall George in a single game? That’s a surprise. Just a fluke? When the Dodgers used their first pick for him, he was compared to Juan Pierre because of his speed and contact skills. But I still hoped there might be some Mookie-esque power in his small frame. (But Pierre had a mighty fine career–2,217 hits and 614 stolen bases.)
At any rate, the emergence of Zyhir Hope has pushed George down on the OF prospect depth chart. Nice to see Hope have another strong game.
Meanwhile, there is a report that the Dodgers indeed discussed a trade for Luis Robert Jr, offering Outman and “a prospect”– who must have been a very good one. (De Paula, perhaps?)
Robert is off to such a poor start that the price could be coming down.
The Dodgers should get out of their funk…. but if this team is somehow struggling, the front office could make some interesting deals.

SandyAmoros

World Series hangover?overrated? Just to many holes in this lineup. It’s early but not a promising start.

Cassidy

Nice bounce back loss last night. At least we scored and only lost by 2. I’m cool with strategy this year of winning the WS as a wild card.

dodgerram

dePaula I would not include in a potential Robert jun. deal.
Outman plus one of the surplus of pitchers we have.

Outfield defense could use an upgrade for sure even if Robert jun. would be no upgrade at the plate (however the potential for a massive bounce back with another team is still huge).
Yesterday both Conforto and Teo missed a very catchaple fly ball respectively. Coupled with Mookie only aerage at best at ss our up the middle defense is not good. Putting it mildly.

Go Dodgers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Badger

Run differential after 17 games – 0. Padres is +30. No question what team is the early best in the West.

Yes, up the middle defense is not great. But I think we knew that going in. According to The Fielding Bible (admittedly I don’t know the best source sources for this information, maybe some here do) the Dodgers are 22nd in DRS, with C being 0, P -5, 2B 0, SS -2 and CF 0. Baseball Savant has slightly better numbers but overall team OAA at 0. Until further notice we live with this and hope pitching and the offense carry this club.

I still believe this team will eventually start hitting again. I also believe AF and staff realize the weaknesses in this lineup and are working on solutions. No need to rush. It’s mid April.

dodgerram

Run differential is swayed because of that 16-0 drubbing on Saturday.

Too many dead bats on this roster. CT3. Barnes, Muncy, Kike, Pages, Rojas all under the Mendoza line, some under .100. Can not continue like that when half of your position players are like that. Even some small improvement probably will not be enough.

Go Dodgers!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jeff

Freeman has been the key to our offensive game for the last several years. Without his bat and strategic hitting, we will struggle because most of the other hitters are prone to slumps including Ohtani and Mookie. If he doesn’t get on track sooner rather than later, we will be playing catch up before you know it and that’s never a good position to be in. He’s looks terrible at the plate yet says he feels fine.

Michael Norris

He has played in 5 games. He is coming off of an offseason where he was rehabbing from injuries. Expecting him to just be the old Freddie right off of the bat is a little unfair.

Badger

I don’t think it’s a question of expecting Bear, it’s just observing how important Freddie is to this lineup. Replacing him with a bottom of the order hitter is a huge loss.

Michael Norris

We all know Freeman is an exceptional hitter. Replacing him with Kike is a farce.

Jeff

Thank you.

Dionysus

We’re fine but CF & 3B have been soft spots for our lineup. Snell injured and couple starting pitchers finding their groove. Not worried at all.

Michael Norris

That report came from Dodger Nation. Outman did not help his case yesterday. He followed up his 2-homer game with a 4 K performance yesterday. If anything, James has regressed. A change of scenery is in order. I am beginning to think Robert Jr. would flourish surrounded by the Dodger lineup. Maybe they can trade Pages for him.

Badger

“I am beginning to think Robert Jr. would flourish surrounded by the Dodger lineup”

I’ve been saying that for months. Pages AND Outman for Jr is ok by me.

Michael Norris

What the Dodgers really need is some contact hitters. There is way too much swing and miss on this team. Kyle Tucker as a free agent would make perfect sense because when the big power boys go into a funk, this team does not score. I said it before and I will say it again, they are way too reliant on homers. Contact hitting may be old school, but it gets runners on base.

Jeff

Damned right, Bear! Look where we are without Freddie, our best contact hitter. It wouldn’t hurt to upgrade the bottom of the order hitters. Look what Edman has done for us.

tedraymond

And it’s more entertaining! I would much rather watch the Dodgers string together several singles, doubles and stolen bases than a HR (with or without runners on) in an inning or two without much other offensive action. Although not true, it seems to be a HR, walk, and too many strikeouts. I know it’s very early in the season, but this type of baseball is difficult to watch.

Who has kidnapped Max Muncy? Freddie looks like he is tired. Othani is taking too many FB strikes. It appears almost all the offensive is coming from Teoscar, Mookie, Tommy, and Will. And, of course, the bottom of the order and the bench is awful, again, this year.

Carry on

Michael Norris

Freddie is still not back from that ankle injury. His bat looks a little slow. But he is the one hitter I do not worry about since the way he approaches hitting is a lot better way to hit. Muncy started almost as slow last year. He did get a hold of one last night but just missed it. He looks like he is not loading on his back leg like he has before.

Dionysus

Mostly the same lineup as last year when we won it all. Just need to click. Wait for it.

Michael Norris

Waiting is not what fans do best, and what was good last year, might not work this year.

Dionysus

Standings don’t matter right now. This is the same roster we were all salivating over. Nothing has changed except for some spotty performance.

Michael Norris

And that spotty performance is exactly why fans are bitching. This is a team many expected to break the all-time wins record held by the Mariners. Expectations are just that, reality is something altogether different. Standings always matter.

Sam Oyed

Saw a report suggesting the Dodgers trade for Luis Arraez. No chance of that happening. But he does make contact.

Bluto

As much chance of that trade as the White Sox one!

Michael Norris

I have seen that trade floated on Yahoo Sports news a lot. Also trading for Brandon Lowe of the Rays, but the Dodgers have not executed a major trade this early in the season in years. The last big trade made early was when they traded AJ Pollock for Kimbrel. That happened just before opening day in 23.

Dionysus

Hope is going to be a big leaguer.

Cassidy

Soon I hope

Dionysus

I seem him as our starting LF as soon as next year. He’s a dangerous man with a bat in his hands.

Michael Norris

He is playing at high A ball. He is at least 2 or 3 years away. Not soon enough to help this team, and where would he play? CF? He does not grade out as a good defender and the defense on this particular Dodger team is not that great. Despite the opinion of a former poster on this site, defense to winning teams is important, especially to their pitchers. The pitching and defense over the last two weeks has left a lot to be desired.

Dionysus

Michael–I think you’re a little pessimistic. Lots of teams are struggling and their fan bases are searching for answers. But the difference between us a the Red Sox, for example, is our track record of success. We are built for the long haul. No article or fake trade proposal changes who were are.

Michael Norris

The way the Dodgers are playing right now is not the way I expect them to be playing later. I have watched this team for a lot of years, and the way they are constructed is for the long haul. But I also know from that experience that they do not move their players as quickly through their system as other teams do. The last two weeks have not been typical of Dodger baseball, the team knows that as well as the fans, but the same reactions come from fans every year when they have a stretch like this. I am not worried or looking for answers, I am just commenting on the state of the team at this point in the season. Neither pessimistic or optimistic.

Badger

Hope and DePaula should both be promoted. I don’t care how old they are, I care they play against better competition. If they can OPS 1.000 in A ball I bet they can OPS .900 in AA.

dodgerram

Would be nice if the Dodgers put them on the fast track.

Go Dodgers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

dodgerram

Well, as another former poster on this blog-rightfully- used to say: Progress is not linear.😀
If Hope keeps this torrid hitting pace up he will be at AA ball sooner rather than later.
There have been examples in the past when hitters made a successful jump from AA ball to MLB in less than 2-3 years. Beltre was such a player.

Not saying Hope is in the Beltre class but stranger things have happened.
And if the bat plays they will find a spot for you.

Go Dodgers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Michael Norris

Dodgers rarely move guys up at a fast pace in the last several years. Seager was 22 when he became a regular, Pederson was 23, Smith was 24, Pages is 24, Bellinger was 21 when injury forced him into the lineup. Hope is 20, so it figures he will be closer to 23 by the time he cracks the roster. They are not going to promote him to AA based on 11 games. Let’s see how he is doing in a month, then he might get moved up. The guys in the best position to help the MLB team, AAA Comets, are Freeland, .344, Rosario, .365, Ward .356, who will probably never get the call, and Chavis, who is hitting .288 with 6 bombs and 11 driven in. I think they could have really used David Bote’s bat off of the bench. Kike, Rojas and Barnes are all below the Mendoza line. Taylor is above it simply because he only has 7 at bats. Barnes has yet to get a hit. If LA were to make a move to the MLB roster, it for sure would rarely come this early in the season.

Michael Norris

Not the poster I was referencing, yes, he still says that way too much.

Bradley

Is it me or the dodgers seem to be old either they hit Homer’s and win games or they lose when they face a bettee hitting team. These Cubs pitcher baffled them the whole series what happens when they face a good pitcher the dodgers. Muncy ycan’t hit Taylor cant hit Rojas is robbed eveey time hehits it goes right to someone and Pages looks like a AAA player in the majors. I know uts early but Freeman looks old and Betts looks off after being sick right now Edman iand Teoscar are both consistant hitters you can count on them getting on base or driving in runs. Right now the Padres look way bettee and there missing two guys on DL.

Michael Norris

Freeman has played in exactly five games. He is still recovering from surgery in the offseason. The Padres are playing very good right now, their pitching is carrying them. They have pitched 6 shutouts in 16 games. They are hitting .283 as a team to the Dodgers .225. The Dodgers have hit almost twice as many homers, 29-15 but have scored just 6 more runs. The Padres are missing their CF, Merrill, and Cronenworth. They are at this point in the season, a much better team. You could argue, they were the better team last year. They beat LA 8 times in 13 games during the regular season and had them on the brink of elimination in the LDS. But sometimes the best team does not win. LA has some new faces on the roster and some old ones too. But the team is way to homer reliant to score at this point in time. The bottom of the lineup and the bench players are not producing. At some point in time, both of these issues are going to have to be addressed. But it is too early and not at that point right now.

dodgerram

And our roster is a year older too. At some point the decline is going to happen.. Maybe we have arrived at this point. We will soon know more.

Go Dodgers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

John

Luis Roberts Jr. off to a slow start? He hit .224 last year. This slow start has lasted for some time.

Michael Norris

He has played one full season once in his career. He is hitting .163 as this is written. But the entire White Sox team is hitting just .201. Last year was only the second time in his career he played at least 100 games. He did not improve in the second half last season; he actually was worse. He has no protection in the lineup as he usually hits second in the Sox lineup and the # 3 hitter is hitting .213. Thais and Baldwin are the only two starting position players batting over .200 with Benintendi out and Tauchman out. He would most likely love a change of scenery and to be on a team that actually has some good hitters in their lineup.

Bumsrap

Robert comes with a $15M salary so include Taylor along with the low cost controllable players the Sox might want. Outman and Pages are at risk of being AAAA players in the Dodgers’ system whereas they could have careers in the White Sox system. I say this only because it is being discussed in here.

John

So if I’m comprehending your statement correctly, Roberts Jr. is injured prone. I would think any of the White Sox’s players would want a change of scenery. Not only is his average in 23 .264 his OBP was .315. In 24 he hit .224 with an OBP of.278.He had a great year in21 though only playing 68 games. In 22 hr hit a good .284 but again his OBP was only .319. This indicates he doesn’t walk much.

if the dodgers pick up Roberts, fine, but why overpay on a player who quite frankly has not come close to living up to his potential. The Dodgers have plenty of swing and miss hitters already. and other than 23, hasn’t hit more than 14 homers. Personally I think it’s time to move on from Roberts Jr.

Michael Norris

I am not advocating for his becoming a Dodger, although many fans on this site and others wish it were so. I have always said he was injury prone like another CF who fans have clamored for, Byron Buxton. What he brings that Pages does not is excellent defense. But they could have had that had they kept Bellinger. Salaries do not bother this ownership group. They will do what they need to improve the time when they deem the time to be right. 2 1/2 games behind is not hard to overcome, but 9 or 10? Even the best of teams can find that to be a daunting task.

Scott Andes

I’m noticing alot of poor trends and bad habits that have formed so far this season that are concerning.

One of the trends that I’ve noticed is that they are constantly playing from behind early. The starting staff is allowing runs in the first or second innings and the lineup is not able to hit the opposing starters at all. The offense does nothing for the first 5 or 6 innings of the game, until the opposing bullpen comes in.

The pitching staff is walking way too many batters. They are constantly going 3-2 on almost every hitter. I understand that most teams nowaways are obsessed with chase rates, strikeouts and don’t want anything put into play. What ever happened to inducing weak contact?

The outfield defense is pretty bad. I think the best thing to do at this point is Move Mookie back to right field, an outfield of Teo in left, edman in center and Mookie in right is much better that what they’ve been using now. Maybe they can just move Conforto to the bench? I don’t understand why Mookie has to play short. Call up Kim to play short, and anyone else can play second.

The bench has been pretty bad too. As mentioned by others here. All of those games during that 8-0 stretch to start the season saw them fall behind in every game. They were losing or trailing in every game and it took miraculous comebacks to win those.

Also the base-running has been very poor as well. I like some of the agressiveness on the bases, but don’t be stealing when down by a run with 2 outs in the bottom of the ninth. Those types of foolish errors will not help.

I’m sorry to say but wrobleski, Miller, Knack, Sheehan, are not great. They are fine as spot starters, or maybe as back end innngs eaters, but don’t count on those guys for much of anything. May and Gonsolin are good pitchers, those are the guys that need to stick in the rotation. Haven’t seen enough of Saski yet, but doesnt look like he’s transitioning well. A team that has the highest payroll in baseball, just won the world series and more resources and influence than any other team in the sport should be able to find a better replacement reliever than Luis Garcia.

Hoping these trends get better.

Michael Norris

Mookie is playing short because Mookie thinks it is less demanding that playing the outfield. Right is Teo’s best defensive spot. He is better there than in left, and he is much more comfortable in right. If they get a centerfielder, I want it to be a real centerfielder, not a utility infielder like Edman or Kim. Mookie would be a better choice in center than those guys, but at this point in his career, he wants to play the infield. Put Mookie at second, where he would probably flourish. Kim or Edman could play SS. Get a true centerfielder and you’re up the middle defense would improve. Left field is the least of the defensive woes at this point. The pitchers suck at holding runners and the Dodgers are giving up way too many stolen bases. But it is way too early to panic or worry about a bad two-week stretch. This kind of thing happening in September, and you will miss the playoffs.

Scott Andes

Honestly Bear,

I have not heard anything that confirms that he prefers to play infield, and even if he says that I don’t believe him. Mookis is a great teammate, and is not going to come out and say he hates playing short. I think he’s playing short becuase of two reasons….

  1. management has ordered him to do so
  2. the Club has nobody else in the entire organization (unless Freeland is ready) to play the position

Mookie is playing short because Mookie thinks it is less demanding that playing the outfield”

this is debatable.

Singing the Blue

Why in the world do you think management would order Mookie to move to shortstop at his age when he had never played it before?

If it was management’s decision to move him to the infield the most logical place would be second base where he has a decent amount of experience. And that would also be less taxing on him than playing short.

They could easily have Edman move to shortstop. He has far more experience there than Mookie does.

This was Mookie’s decision, not management’s.

Scott Andes

They asked him (or ordered) him to play short, because they don’t have anyone else to pay short long term, outside of bench guys who can’t hit a lick.

Normally players do not decide where they play, management does.

Why in the world do you think management would order Mookie to move to shortstop at his age when he had never played it before?”

Then why in the world would Mookie ask to play short? Just wondering.

Michael Norris

He asked to play the infield. He started at second base with Lux supposed to be the SS, then he moved to SS because the team felt he would be better there than Lux, which proved to be true. They could have retained Turner or Seager and never would have had to deal with the problem.

Michael Norris

Not really Scott, I read he prefers the infield last year. And he went back to the outfield simply because the team asked him to the second half. I do not pull this stuff out of a hat. Mookie wants to prove he can be a gold glove at SS, and this team is going to give him every opportunity to do that until they both sit down and say, hey, this isn’t working. Until that Mookie Betts is the Dodgers starting SS.

Scott Andes

Can you link me to this?

I still think this is just lip service from him.

Singing the Blue

Betts: “I’ve never considered myself a right fielder,” Betts said in July. “I just play right field. I’ve always considered myself a middle infielder.” He also said, “It’s just my desire to get back in the infield because that’s my home,” as quoted by Sports Illustrated

Michael Norris

Exactly

Badger

Why is this still being debated? Mookie is playing shortstop because the Dodgers have no shortstop on the team. None. They knew they needed one, didn’t get the one that was available, so Mookie volunteered.

Scott Andes

PR lip service

Michael Norris

More than one person has read that Scott, how can it be lip service? Just because you missed it does not mean it isn’t true.

Scott Andes

Just my opinion on this one.

Sam Oyed

Might be too early on Sasaki, but he gave up 1 run in 5 innings. Gave up 1 run in 4 innings against Philly. At least the trend is in the right direction.

Gonsolin isn’t pitching now because he’s being lengthened. He will be in the rotation in due time. Don’t forget, some guy named Kershaw might show up mid to late May.

Garcia is a place holder. Kupech and Phillips will be back soon. Garcia will be gone shortly as Phillips will be returning very soon. Patience, be patient.

Scott Andes

yup, very early in the season. lots of time to work this stuff out.

Michael Norris

He is doing what many do when they enter a field, he is using OJT, on the job training. He has excellent stuff, but learning to pitch to major league hitters is a lot harder than it might seem to some. Garcia is gone as soon as one of the regular pitchers is ready. He would not even have made the opening day roster had Phillips or Kopech been healthy.

You’ve been wrong so much I’m comforted by your hubris.

Bluto

Said it better and in fewer words than I would have!

Scott is back to performing

Scott Andes

Why is it any time I give an opinion on something here, I am performing?

I’m wondering if you are performing.

Why are you so miserable?

I can’t take watching Pages play CF……please please send him away.

CT3 is useless….again

Muncy is too unreliable but you can always count on him jacking one out every so often. Just strikes out so much and BA is always low…not my kind of everyday player.

Outman….please send him to Chicago Cubs to buddy up with Busch.

i never wanted Mookie at SS….troubled that team caved into his crying.

Yes, 3b and CF need upgrades. Move Edman to SS and Mookie to 2B.

Michael Norris

The team did not cave in to any crying by Betts. That is totally false. He was moved there last year when they decided Lux was not going to cut it. He went back to RF when he returned because the team had decided that Rojas was playing well enough to be out there every day. They had no other options this year for SS on the 40-man roster. If, and only if, they decide that Freeland can handle the job, or if they decide to go after Bichette if he is a free agent, will Mookie move from SS. If he does move, it would most likely be to second base. Teo is now the permanent RF.

Reilly O'connor

As both a Dodgers and Oregon State Beavers fan, I was excited to see LA take Elijah Hainline in the 7th round last year. He got off to a really rocky start and Rancho last year but seems to have really turned things around. What have you seen in him and what do you think of his future in the organization. I also really like Joendry Vargas down in Rancho as well. Seems he has all the tools to become a MLBer. Thanks!

OhioDodger

The natives are restless.

Michael Norris

You betcha they are.

Michael Norris

Line ups are out, Kike playing second base and Freddie is back. Bottom of the Rockies line up is just about as inept as the Dodgers right now.

Singing the Blue

So in the space of less than 20 games, we have gone from being the best team ever to just as good as the Rockies. 😂

Dionysus

Haha

It was never going to be easy

Michael Norris

Except in the standing. Rocks have won just 3 games.

Dionysus

Wake me up when SD wins something other than great city for tacos and beer.

Michael Norris

Top four in the lineup getting the job done tonight. Edman is 0-4, not what he usually does. Muncy aboard all three times so far without a hit. May was excellent.

OhioDodger

Once again, the bottom of the order, 5-9, did nothing. Somethings got to give.

OhioDodger

2 for 10 RISP, 10 LOB. Needs improvement.

OhioDodger

Munetaka Murakami, 1B/3B, NPB (Yakult)

Could this be the answer for the Dodgers at 3B going forward??
