Rallying cry for 26.
Three-peat in Dodger Stadium!
Amazing World Series. I am totally drained emotionally.
I thought I might c u singing the anthem on game 5.
Would love to do that again, but they use famous people during the post-season. I remember when Toni Tenille used to do it at least five times a season.
Seriously, I hope the Dodgers next season honor Randy Newman with a bobblehead for his iconic municipal anthem.
“Victory Boulevard?”
“WE LOVE IT!!!”
This is the good stuff.
News and notes from around the league: Gabe Kapler named Marlins GM. Tyler O’Neill declined his opt-out with Orioles, O’s declined Mateo’s option. Giolito declined hit option with the Red Sox. Pete Alonso opted out of his deal with the Mets. Ha-Seong Kim opted out of his deal with the Braves. Gurriel triggered his option with the D-Backs. Bellinger opted out of his deal with the Yankees. Edwin Diaz opted out of his deal with the Mets, as did Robert Suarez of the Padres. Rays acquired Ryan Vilade from the Reds for cash and then designated six players for assignment, Alez Faedo, Stuart Fairchild, Cole Wilcox, Caleb Boushley, Joey Gerber and Garrett Acton. Randal Grichuk declined mutual option with the Royals. Bregman opted out of Red Sox contract. Mitch Garver is now a free agent after Mariners declined player option. Michael King declined his option with the Padres.
Would the Trashtros grudge keep AF from pursuing Alex Bregman? Given the Dodgers’ surplus of OF talent down on the farm, he makes more sense than Kyle Tucker.
There is a just ton of talent on the free agent market…
Depends on if they want to spend money, a lot of money to replace Muncy who is just going to cost them 10 million. Max has more power and a higher OPS than Bregman and his defense has been better the last couple of years. I believe they stick with Max for one more year.
Has Dave Roberts finally earned the respect and approval of Dodger bloggers? Or will he be fired again sometime in August next year?
I don’t know about other bloggers, but because of the last two seasons, he definitely has earned my respect. Just look at how he navigated all of the injuries, and those injuries were to vital players in the lineup. He had to navigate bad seasons by major signings, Conforto-Scott-Yates. Declines by superstars like Betts and Freeman who were nowhere near their best. He had to navigate a bullpen that was crap for most of the year, an inconsistent offense, which one day would pummel the opposition and the next strike out at an unbelievable rate. Dave is a very good manager now. Much better than when he first started.
Which bloggers dislike him.on TBLA you aren’t even allowed to criticize him.
I’ll never tire of watching & hearing Miggy Ro hit the game-tying homer in the 9th. The players and coaches reacting with exhilaration and stunned disbelief was genuine & REAL ..nothing contrived. Like experiencing some kind of religious revival that magical sports moments can sometimes create.
Agree. I must’ve watched Freddie’s Grand Slam last year 200 times on youtube over the last 12 months, and hell, I was live there to see it!
Dodger free agents. Kershaw, he will retire, Miggy, Conforto, Yates, Kopech, Kike.
Will the Dodgers bring Kike back? Or maybe flip a couple prospects for him at midseason?
I’d like to see Kopech back… But the Dodgers have so much pitching depth that it really does seem unfair.
Im ready to cut the cord with keekay
And Andrew Heaney.
He wasn’t listed on the Dodgers page on MLBTR off season report, probably because he was not on the 40 man and had elected free agency on the 2nd of November.
I’ve heard conflicting reports about whether Miggy will play another season.
He has said he wants one more–and I’m sure the Dodgers would welcome him back after his WS heroics. But apparently he also told another interviewer that he wants to focus on fatherhood as he segues to coaching.
I could see him in a player-coach role in ’26. But he’s really been doing that since he returned to the Dodgers.
I think hes back
Good find Jeff and an amazing stat.
That’s a great collection of broadcast “calls” on the Rojas and Smith homers…
Several in English…at least three in Espanol (cuatro-cuatro!) and one French…. But I haven’t heard a Japanese call yet!
One of the Spanish broadcasters has an elongated HR call that reminded me of the classic futbol “GOOOOAAAAAAALLLLLL!”
Adios, pelota…and then some.
I heard one but I could not find it. It was for the end of game 7.
