Well much to the dismay of John Smoltz, THE LOS ANGELES DODGERS ARE BACK TO BACK WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS.
There is no way my heart rate can come down for me to do any kind of significant recap, and I did not want to miss any of the celebration. Listening to Clayton Kershaw as he goes out a WS Champion.
This was arguably the greatest World Series ever played. The season started in Japan and ended in Canada after a total of 179 games. This WS was a global WS with all of Japan joining all of Canada and USA.
This 2025 playoff team was built to win with starting pitching, and in Game 7, all four starters pitched. You can argue that Emmet Sheehan and Justin Wrobleski were also starters.
The Toronto Blue Jays were a great adversary. They never quit, but fortunately neither did the Dodgers. I kept hearing how relentless Toronto was, but the Dodgers were more relentless. Down 3-0, just get one run at a time and eat into the lead. The first two runs were from sac flies from Teoscar Hernández and Tommy Edman.
Down by one, the Dodgers gave the run back on an Ernie Clement single, SB, and an Andrés Giménez double to RF. I was upset at the time, because I know that Addison Barger makes that catch.
In the 8th, Max Muncy crushed a solo HR off Trey Yesavage. Muncy just passed Babe Ruth on the all-time postseason HR list!

We learned that Miggy Ro’s wife kept telling Miggy that he was going to hit a HR in the WS. Down 4-3 with one out in the 9th, Miggy got a Jeff Hoffman slider that caught way too much of the plate, thigh high, and Miggy put it over the LF wall to tie the game.

In the bottom of 9th, Toronto loaded the bases but could not score. Doc made a couple of changes that could have changed the series. With runners on 1st and 2nd with one out, Doc brought in Yoshinobu Yamamoto. The first batter he faced was Alejandro Kirk and he hit him to load the bases with one out. Doc then substituted Tommy Edman with Andy Pages in CF. I am assuming that this was to get a cannon in CF for a sac fly play at the plate.
With the infield playing in, Daulton Varsho hit a bouncer to Miggy Ro who slipped but some how got off a great throw to Will Smith who made a great play of his own staying on the plate. Next batter was Ernie Clement who hit a long fly into LF that was headed over the head of Kiké that Pages raced over and made the catching, knocking Kiké down. Would Kiké make a miracle catch, we will never know.
The Dodgers loaded the bases with 2 outs in the 10th, but could not score. Yama came out for the 10th and retired the side in order.
With 2 outs in the 11th, after catching a WS record of 72 innings, Smith came up and hit a go-ahead HR off Shane Bieber.

OH MY GOODNESS!!!
pic.twitter.com/PSKza03x9Z— Dodgers Nation (@DodgersNation) November 2, 2025
But Toronto was not done. With Yama back out on the bump. Vlad Guerrero Jr. led off with a double. Isiah Kiner-Falefa laid down a great sac bun, putting Vlad on 3rd with one out. Yama pitched around Barger and walked him setting up for a potential DP. And Kirk obliged with a ground ball up the middle that Mookie fielded stepped on 2nd and threw a strike to Freddie and the Dodgers were WS champs…again.
WHAT JUST HAPPENED
THERE IS NO WAY THAT JUST HAPPENED
THE DODGERS JUST WON THE WORLD SERIES
— Blake Harris (@BlakeHHarris) November 2, 2025
First time ever for a team sweeping their opponent in the Championship Series facing a team that did not sweep their opponent in their Championship Series and win.
The Dodgers are the first team ever to trail in the 9th inning of a World Series Game 7 on the road and come back to win.
Yamamoto won the WS MVP after pitching in his 3rd game. He completed 17.2 innings, allowing just 2 runs, 10 hits, 2 BB, 2 HBP, and 15 K. He had a 1.02 ERA, .068 WHIP, and .169 BA. He won 3 of the 4 LAD victories.
Dave Roberts trusts every one of his players, and they reciprocated with their trust. Maybe it’s time the fans trust Doc. Not all of his decisions make sense at the time, and many times they do not pan out. But the Dodgers have now won 3 WS in 6 years, and Dave Roberts was manager for each of them.
- Walter Alston – 4 WS Championships in 23 years; 7 NL Pennants
- Tommy Lasorda – 2 WS Championships in 21 years and 4 games; 4 NL Pennants
- Dave Roberts – 3 WS Championships in 10 years; 5 NL Pennants
Dodgers on the roster credited with their 1st WS championship.
- Blake Snell – This is why he signed with LAD
- Emmet Sheehan
- Justin Wrobleski
- Roki Sasaki – Rookie
- Hyeseong Kim – Rookie
- Justin Dean – Rookie
- Alex Call
- Will Klein – Rookie
- Ben Rortvedt
- Jack Dreyer – Rookie
The Dodgers offense was built for Slug, and again the team with the most HRs won the WS. The Blue Jays out hit the Dodgers 75-53, but the Dodgers out homered Toronto 11-8. I have been critical of the philosophy, but it is hard to argue against success. I still believe a change needs to be made. This team is too good to just rely on slug.
There will be changes for 2026, but I am going to savor this win for a bit before I get into next year.
Great Game! Extraordinary Series!! Fantastic Playoffs! And a very successful season, albeit at times frustrating.
BRING ON THE PARADE!!!!!

These guys are October legends. Incredibly special.
Dave Roberts
Andrew Friedman (yes I am giving him his respects)
Miggy Ro
Yoshinobu Yamamtoto
Will Smith
Max Muncy
This guy named Ohtani
These guys are the best.
The rest of the club. Every one of them. It took the entire team to beat Toronto. Complete team effort.
What a great way to “ruin baseball”….
While a lot of us are already pondering how the Dodgers might improve during the off-season–to set up the three-peat!–I do want to savor this wild ride.
Let’s recall how, during the last off-season, it was widely agreed that the Dodgers had “won the winter” with its free agent signings–Snell, Scott, Conforto, Yates. Treinen and Sasaki. We envisioned a star-studded six-man rotation and wondered if these Dodgers could set a new all-time record for wins–even if we were not yet convinced that Mookie could be a solid shortstop.
Then came some injuries, as well as the disappointing play from Scott, Conforto and Yates.
No worries. The Dodgers could muddle their way to another divisional championship. They strategically “slow-played” a variety of players, which I submit contributed to a won-loss so lackluster that they dropped into the Wild Card round of the playoffs–and also cost them home-field advantage against the AL champ Blue Jays.
As it happened, the mighty, wealthy Dodgers set themselves up for a post-season gauntlet: the Reds, Phillies, Brewers and finally the Jays in an absolute epic of a series, including two extra-inning classics. As if testing themselves, they would trail the Jays 3 games to 2 heading back to Toronto for two do-or-die games.
A
And they did it. After the Blue Jays got to the mighty Shohei, taking a 3-0 lead, the Dodgers chipped away, with seemingly everybody contributing along the way, on offense and defense.
This team proved its greatness.
Bravo, Dodgers…. Bravo!
Well said, Brother…..well said. Game 7 highlights will forever be etched in my brain. My favorite (maybe) is Pages running over Kike to make the catch. Unbelievable. And to think, at one time I never wanted to see Pages out there fielding.
Crow eating moment for me…
Absolutely incredible catch by Pages. Saved the game right there . This catch will live forever just like the Willie M. catch back then.
As bad as Pages was at the dish that play in itself makes him a WS hero forever. Iconic!
Go Dodgers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’ll take the out but can you imagine what we would be saying if Kike’ made the circus catch.
I am with you. I think Kiké catches it. His glove was right under the ball when he got hit. Great catch by Pages. It was Game 7 so whoever caught it…And no, I still do not want Pages anywhere near LAD CF next year.
I also think Kike could have caught it… but I’m glad that Pages got to be a hero after all his struggles.
This goes into the Dodgers defensive WS annals, along with Sandy Amoros’s catch and Joe Ferguson gunning down Bando and… who am I forgetting?
Next season, I’d prefer to see Pages in RF. But I’d be OK with him in center depending on the talent. His defense has improved a lot.
Hmm…
Teo (or Rushing) + ??? for Steven Kwan…
Then sign Bader as a free agent.
An OF that reads Kwan-Bader-Pages would provide high-quality D and solid offense (assuming that Pages gets back on track.)
The Dodgers have a lot of OF talent in the pipeline, but none seem likely to break out in ’26. Possible, but not likely.
As for Rushing… to deal or not to deal?
Pages got two hits in the postseason— one at the plate and one on Kike’. BTW, great move by Roberts putting Pages in CF— I don’t know if Edmund makes that catch.
Looked like a linebacker taking out a runner.
Can anyone tell me why Bichette in the 11th-inning was no longer batting 4th after Vlad? Did he leave for pinch-runner earlier? I missed something.
Btw, Bichette’s inability to score from 2B on a two-out single by Ernie Clement in the bottom of the 2nd proved decisive when he was left stranded on 3rd at the end of that inning.
Did Kiner-Falefa replace Bichette at 2B for defense in the 8th-inning?
IKF ran for Bichette after Bo singled in the 9th.
Thanks Jeff
Yes….but Bichette was also injured and couldn’t run very well.
Huge in the outcome of this series.
Yes. IKF is getting some blame for his short lead-off on Miggy’s throw for the force out at home….. All he needed was another inch or two.
I still agree with Jeff. This team should not be so reliant on slug.
There were some rumors about a trade for Steven Kwan during the summer…
Great contact hitter with a gold glove in LF.
Wouldn’t be cheap, but I think he’d be great fit.
Me 2
This will 100% change. We will bring in OBP/BA guys over power.
Looking forward to it.
Dodgers truly are the new cardiac kids (or should I say cardiac veterans 😀)
WHAT.A.GAME.WHAT.A.GAME. Had to watch it tape delayed due to time difference and being sick all week.
I am totally spent. My bloodpressure and heart rate is sky high, but I am even higher on cloud Nr.9 after that stunning finish.
WHAT.A.GAME.
So many heroes in this one. So many game changing moments and plays on boths sides.
None bigger hero than Yama. WhAT.A.DAWG.
And YES, I am ready for BACK to BACK to BACK.But after the suspense of this WS I need a break from baseball.
Go Dodgers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If this were Canadien hockey, you would have your 3 stars made public….so here I go….
the 3rd star……Will Smith. (Roar)
the 2nd star….Miggy Rojas (louder roar)
and the 1st star…..YOSHIIIIIIII (deafening roar)
works for me
Hard to disagree with those. Like Freeman last year, there was no doubt who the top dog was this postseason.
LAD winning this series demonstrates one of those very rare occasions when one team’s willpower overcomes the other’s slightly better team. The Jays played hard and played to win, but the Dodgers heart-of-a-champion allowed them to rise above adversity when they were down early 3-0 with the crowd going nuts against them. They never panicked, persevered by continuing to play hard and smart, and ended up snatching victory from the jaws of defeat.
Very inspiring stuff, and a total pleasure to watch unfold!
This is why the Dodgers are the best team in baseball!
Question for anyone: why didn’t we see Game 3 hero, Will Klein after that amazing 4 inning performance?
You would have thought we would have based on what he did in that game. Why not?
I just think Roberts preferred Sheehan as a righty option at that point in the game. The other options were Klein, Henriquez, Treinen and Sasaki.
Klein has assured himself a nice contract, I think…. The internal bullpen competition next season should also include Graterol and River Ryan, coming back from injury.
I suspect that Sasaki will assume a spot in the six-man rotation: Yamamoto, Snell, Glasnow, Ohtani, Sasaki, Sheehan…. with Gavin Stone and River Ryan comng back from injury as options as well.
Formidable list of pitchers
I did see him at the press conference.
Where’s Al Michael’s when you need him?
Yes,?I believe in miracles!!!!!!
Had to wake this AM and watch more highlights and interviews. Amazing is the only word I can come up with.
Clayton’s speech before the champagne was uncorked moved me to tears. Doc is a HOF manager without question. Dodgers are indeed a dynasty and the envy of every other MLB franchise and I’m not apologizing for Dodger exceptionalism. They might just be the best run professional run sports team in all of professional sports.
Yamamoto is worth every penny of the 12-year $325 million contract. Rojas is a dog and has to be back next year. Dino Ebel commented that Miggy Ro is the “glue” to the team. He sets the tone, is a workout warrior and is looked up to as the informal team leader.
I mentioned it last night, but I absolutely loved watching Wrobo show the emotion after hitting Giminez. The pitch before he was hit, Giminez threw his hand toward the inside pitch and tried to get a HBP with a heavy hand guard. Once he got hit Giminez puts his hands/palm up and said some shit to Wrobo, who promptly said, “fuck you, mother fucker” (could easily read his lips in slow motion). I love the emotion, the fire and tenacity and determination by not backing down. Really ballsy move by a very young Wrobo.
There will be some changes this offseason (last year they traded Lux) and Danny Lehman is reportedly under consideration for the manager job in Atlanta. They do have to get younger in some spots. I believe the rotation and BP are largely set with returning injured pitchers such as Stone, River Ryan, Graterol, and the youth of Casparius, Wrobo, Klein, Dreyer, Sasaki, and Sheehan. Evan Phillips will be our mid-season BP addition.
Tommy Edman needs to get the ankle fixed, Miggy Ro needs a one-year deal, maybe re-sign Kopech to a one-year “pillow” contract, the option will be extended on Muncy, I think Kike is most likely not brought back and Teo might be dealt. Kim needs more playing time as his speed will be a welcomed addition to a roster too dependent on slug. Do not want Rushing traded because he has some good looking hit tools and will make us more athletic and young. Get him to AZ in a month and start to develop him as an option to play OF. He can also spell Will Smith and Freddie and should get approx. two starts a week.
I’ll savior this WS championship for a long time and will soon go to the fanatics website and purchase a cheap China made T-shirt that won’t fit, and will have a non-centered logo, but what the heck we are WORLD CHAMPS!!!
That’s how I read Wrobo’s lips too. We don’t need Jomboy for that one.
Certainly added some spice to the seventh game!
Your mention of Kopech also reminded me that Kyle Hurt will be a option next season.
The pitching depth remains ridiculous…
The look on Roberts’ face after Miggy hit the home run was priceless!
Dave Roberts was excellent in his decision making with the exception of leaving Ohtani in too long. This team was amazing I watched the replay this morning I knew the won and still couldn’t beleive it. Yammamota is in a different universe than mortal pitchers.
Congrats to all of us who spent the last 7 months giving our ridiculous opinions. We all earned it.
Today, I shall celebrate LA style, first at the Rams game at Sofi, followed by the Laker game at Crypto.
I’m guessing I won’t be the only person in attendance at either game wearing a Dodger jersey.
I liked Kershaw’s comment after the celebration. I love not having to try to get hitters out with 88 anymore.
I’m still in disbelief this morning. What an emotional rollercoaster. So many frustrations during the game with Dodger hitters and chances lost. But, then a Dodger would do something spectacular to give us all hope. Up and down throughout the last few innings of the game.
After being one to be critical of Pages lack of effort to scale the fence for HRs he seemed to have launch himself five feet off the ground, take out Kiki, and make a WS saving catch. What a way to redeem yourself Andy!
Then Miggy, with all the sluggers on the team, is the one to hit the game tying HR.
Will Smith, doing Will Smith type stuff hitting a clutch, go ahead HR.
Finally, Mr Yamamoto putting every last drop of energy into finishing the game against all odds. I believe he paid for his entire contract with his performance in this World Series. The team value I would guess increased at least billion $$ with this victory.
The Toronto team was a real surprise with their relentless offensive and incredible defense throughout the series. They’re an entertaining team to watch. It would be nice if the Dodger front office would consider incorporating some of their hitting approaches next year. Guerrero, Bichette, Clement, Barger, and Kirk seemed to get a hit with every at bat.
It will be an interesting offseason with many changes probably happening. Of course, with that, lots of well informed and passionate opinions from the posters here at LA Dodger Chronicles.
A huge shoutout to Jeff Dominique for providing us with a excellent forum to express our thoughts and opinions. Also, sharing his thorough baseball knowledge, especially with the Dodger prospects.
And, last, but not least Michael Norris. “Bear” provides us with incredible articles on Dodger history that rival anything you could find in today’s baseball media.
He and Jeff make a great team. Each have had some personal issues throughout the season, but between them both they did their best and succeeded to keep the site up and running.
Add in all the posters who contribute here and this has become a solid place to discuss and help enjoy Dodger baseball. For those who read often, but don’t express their opinions, consider doing so in the future. It would be nice to have more points of view.
Enjoy the offseason everyone!
And, of course, CARRY ON!
Thank you so much Ted. Baseball and music are my passions. I love history. Both US and baseball. The research has kept my 77-year-old mind sharp. I am glad I get to do this at my age. Had I realized how much I enjoy writing, I would have started doing it earlier. But it was 2020 before I got the chance with Mark. What amazes me is that I learn stuff I never knew along the way. I also would like to apologize if I offended anyone during this season. I am pretty opinionated and sometimes I just get pretty stubborn about things. In the long run, we all are fans of the same team and game. I just try to remember that it is entertainment and not life. Still dealing with some issues, and I am also going to head out to California just before Thanksgiving unless plans change. We all need to take a few days to let this sink in. Monday there will be a parade for those living in LA. Enjoy. I am sure it will be all you hope it can be. Let the Hot Stove season begin. First awards handed out today will be the Gold Gloves. Hope Mookie and Miggy Ro are recognized.
Agreed! Nice post.
Yes, kudos to Jeff and Bear!!!
Well said
Great post, Ted. I concur with everything you said. Our two leaders are awesome.
Thank you all for the kind words. This was a nerve wracking season and especially the WS. But it was worth it.
You and Bear are awesome.
Best Dodger blog by far. Thanks for all you guys do.
Still on cloud nine after the exhausting 17 playoff games. Went 13-4 against some very good pitching by the Phillies and Blue Jays.
Going to Miggy Ro was the turning point and he paid off. His defense and clutch HR was so huge. Then Yamamoto comes in and guts it out.
Hell of a catch by Pages and let’s not forget Kike’s catch in game 6.
Toronto was so good. Even though the bench clearing thing was an overreaction they were a classy opponent. They have a good team and their manager is solid.
For me this was the greatest world series all time.
Congratulations all.
How the hell did we win this game? And this Series? We got outplayed plenty but we found a way, which is what veteran championship teams do. Some outstanding moments from everyone especially Muncy, Pages, Will, Miggy and especially Yamamoto.
Doc was terrific turning the dials. He had a magnificent year guiding this team through the most up and down season I can remember. And the best World Series I’ve ever seen. A big tip of the cap to the Blue Jays. Vlad Jr. is a warrior.
So great to see Clayton go out this way. And I couldn’t be happier for Miggy Ro, who will finally lose the Rodney Dangerfield treatment forever.
Let’s all enjoy this Championship. What a long, strange trip it’s been.
Over $100M in annual salary pitched in game 7.
Wrobleski probably gained the most trust in the WS.
The rotation is loaded for 2026.
He also damn near set off a riot. But the Jays had to know he wasn’t trying to hit Gimenez.
Smith almost had a walk-off home run in the 18 inning game. The cool marine layer kept it from clearing the fence.
73 innings caught.
I would have liked seeing him be co-MVP.
Wrobleski, Stone, Sheehan, Sasaki, are rotation ready.
I want to keep them.
And River Ryan
Watching the replay right now and I’m still nervous. Toronto had 7 hitters that went off and we really had no one. Even our starters were shaky except for Yamamoto. What an all time WS performance!
Thank you Jeff and Bear for all your effort in keeping this wonderful site up and running and giving us platform to embarrass ourselves!
Cant wait for three-peat!
Our slug, pitching, and defense saved us! I hate to admit out-slugging the Jays was a major factor in why the Dodgers prevailed, …but it WAS a factor..
I figured something was amiss….couldn’t understand why Miggy would be removed for defensive purposes.m
I read that Miggy told Robert to take him out. I was also surprised by the move at the time.
I literally don’t cry but the Kershaw video brought some moisture to my eyes.
Sport. Man that’s why we love it. To go through all the emotions I’ve been through this last month, the ups, the downs. the highs and the lows, and the sleepless nights, to end with the unbelievable game 7 where every single pitch is amplified, and to come out on the right side was absolutely incredible.
There were so many moments where things could’ve turned, so many marginal moments, so
many things that could have gone wrong and yet from a desperate situation needing to win the final two games on the road our boys prevailed.
This was an amazing win. The Blue Jays were the better team no question. Yamamoto’s performance reminded me of Bumgarner taking SF on his back and single handedly taking them
to a WS. Let’s hope there’s no residual effects.
Ultimately the best Roster in baseball prevailed but it wasn’t as simple as that. We’re spoiled and our expectations are sky high. The reality is that we won it all again. So many games, so much pressure and so many players out of sorts at the same time, But we won it all.
That was epic!!
Congratulations everyone.
Watford, what are your plans for 3am now that the season is over?
I’m not sure how two opposites can be true simultaneously.
The Blue Jays were the better team no question.
Ultimately the best Roster in baseball prevailed.
“Baseball”
DEPTH
The Dodgers have 7 free agents making well over $60M combined. Maybe only Rojas returns if the Dodgers trade for a 3rd baseman.
Trade Glasnow and Teo and the saved payroll, less the portion kept, increases.
It’s going to be wild
No need to trade Gasnow. If someone wants to take Teo to DH, we should consider it.
Teo + ??? for Steven Kwan.
Teo for Jaron Duran???
Great day for LA, USC beats Nebraska on the road, and the Dodgers win the World Series.
New statue at DS
Epic!
I love it. Very nice.
Mr. Chairman, I cede my commenting time to the honorable commenter, Mr. Scott Andes, so that he might remind us again why we need to fire the entire front office and Mr. Roberts, as well as removing the entire pitching staff and replacing them with pitchers who don’t get injured.
Sorry Scott, just had to get that in. I know you’re as happy we won this thing as anyone else here and we all vent during the year. Now we can all celebrate together.
I have nothing to say that any or all of you haven’t said earlier, so I’ll just say congratulations to a team who just wouldn’t give up.
While I’m at it, a doff of my Dodger cap to the Jays, who fought to the bitter end and played very exciting baseball. And to the members of their bullpen for their salute to Alex Vesia by putting his uni number on their hats. That was one class act.
Just got off the phone with Andrew who said he’d have to call me back because he was negotiating a 2026 contract with Michael Conforto. Says he’ll be taking a cut to 15 mil.
The biggest signing AF could make this off season is the Blue Jays hitting coach!
He just left the Dodger organization after being the hitting coach for the Great Lakes Loons. He was with the Twins from 21-24. He then was hired by the Jays. It is extremely doubtful he leaves after one season.
I think we all should thank the designers of the Rogers Center. Without their design of the padding on the centerfield wall being set just high enough off the ground so a baseball can get stuck who knows if the Dodgers game 6 let alone game 7.
Thank you designers of the Rogers Center, hehe.
I feel like the Blue Jays played way over their head. Clement was unbelievable, Guerrero is a great player but never that good on both sides of the ball, Barger was way over his head on both sides of the ball, Savage was unbelievable in game 5. Once he is in the league awhile I don’t think he will ever be that good again, Bichette after a long layoff came back and was hitting in midseason form, Springer was Springer only better, Schneider made an impact in his few at bats Gimenez was so clutch and played a great ss. Scherzer had his best fastball in years. Until the home run ball Hoffman was great. Everything seemed to be falling their way. I don’t c how they could have played any better.
The Dodgers were batting under 200 going into game 7. Offense sputtered the whole playoff with no one really hot. Ohtani was great a game or so but otherwise ok. Edman was awful or close to it. Teo no clutch. Betts one big hit otherwise basically just there.muncy an outstanding game 7. Smith clutch, Rojas a great addition. Bullpen had 1 great game, Wrobleski was good, Sheehan was awful, treinen same, Sasaki mixed bag. SP Yamamoto great , Snell disappointed, Glasnow good, Ohtani not effective. I disagree with anyone who says the Jays were better. The Jays played over their head and still couldn’t win. The Dodgers are one heckuva tough team!! For all their flaws the mental tenacity, their picking each other up, their never say die attitude, and their ability to make plays when they had to put them over the top. Robert’s did a great job steering the team. Can’t wait for the 3 peat!!!
I also want to thank Jeff and Bear for such a great blog. The research, the passion, the expertise gives all Dodgers fans a forum to look forward to.
Does anyone know if Barnes and Taylor get WS rings?
Yes, they should. Miguel Vargas got one for last season’s championship.
Outman should get one two… and I think that would give him two rings..
Why wouldn’t they? Anyone who was on the roster at some point will get rings. It is up to the players, but that is how they have been doing it for years.
Jeff–Great job on this site. I look forward to your prospect writing during the offseason. We might have to teach one of our OFs to play IF!
If Yamamoto had come in for Klein in the 18th in game 3, and he almost did, then he would have won all 4 games in the WS!
Unless his arm fell off.
Platinum MVP
In the simplest terms — The Dodgers depth of talent, and Doc’s (mostly) expert handling of that depth is what won the WS for the Dodgers.
Absolutely.
And a little bit of luck and millimeters. Because that play at home when Smith just barely kept his toes on the bag was sooooooo close.
Not sure if they overturn it if the call on the field would have been safe.
Dodgers now have caught the A´s and RedSox with 9 WS titles and in doing so got their first back to back in their long history.
Go Dodgers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And now we look forward to back-to-back-to-back WS titles in a row.
Still in disbelief. We got to witness the greatest game 7!ever in the greatest series ever. With our Dodgers in it and with our Dodgers winning it. Watched the greatest player ever and one of the greatest pitching performance ever. And to see an all time great pitcher win it all in his last game and my favorite player ever. With my son and wife screaming at the tv for a week. Ever blessed! Wow!
Think how dominant the Dodgers would have been if they had a strong BP and Conforto worked out. That said, so satisfying to win with grit and toughness.
That’s why championships are forged and not won on paper
