I am increasingly more bemused by what AF/BG are actually going to do this...
Merry Christmas Jeff. I hope you and your family have a joyful and festive day!
Merry Christmas Oldbear. Keep singing, it’s great for your health.
Thanks Fred, I intend to.
Windsor. Having lived in Eureka and Petaluma, I know Windsor. It’s rather a well kept secret.
I would expect a quiet week in the base world. It will definitely be a quiet week for me.
Be well and be safe everyone.
Merry Christmas my friend. Stay safe and warm.
Thank you Bear. And thanks for the card. Very thoughtful. You’re one of the good guys Bear. Please don’t forget that I know that.
Thank you Rory. I intend to stay that way.
Merry Christmas Rory. I am so happy our paths have crossed in the virtual world and hope we get a chance to meet in person one of these days.
Thanks Fred. The feeling is mutual. I want you to know I still read several of your old postings. I find them well researched, well thought out, and extremely well written. People on these sports blogs may have no idea how brilliant you really are. Thanks for including me in your orbit. I’m better, and smarter, for knowing you.
Thanks back at you Badger. I need to add to my site but it has been awhile since I have been in the zone. If I am brilliant at all, it is when I am in the zone.
Merry Christmas Jeff. I hope you unwrap peace and love this morning and play with it all day long. Don’t forget to share it. It will last forever that way.
Merry Christmas all! Thanks a million, Jeff, for the community you’ve built here.
Great discussion with an absence of vitriol.
I consider that a great holiday gift and I thank all of you for keeping it that way.
Vitriol has a low survival rate in open minds Jefe. I too appreciate that about Jeff’s site. I hope to see many new, and some old, voices in here next year.
Merry Christmas Jefe’. I enjoy your sense of humor, spelling lessons, literal interpretations, and your friendship. My virtual world is sooo much better with you in it. Stop thinking about moving north and just do it. If nothing else you will be closer to me.
Right back atcha Fred.
Most people find they prefer the virtual me more than the real thing, so don’t go wishing for me to become your neighbor. I’m one of those guys who tends to ruin the neighborhoods I move in to.
Merry Christmas,Jeff, and everyone else on this board. Thanks for the daily entertainment.
BTW Jeff, Carlisle Winery in Windsor is well worth seeking out.
Merry Christmas Fred. The days are getting longer and soon warmer. It won’t be long before we actually do get together for lunch. I look forward to it.
As do I. Merry Christmas.
Thanks Fred, I will give Carlisle a try.
Happy Holidays Chroniclers.
Happy Holidays Ohio. What Dodger present would you like to have before the season starts?
Thanks Bum. Trade Muncy and/or Taylor for a lefty mashing outfielder.
GFY
Merry Christmas to each and everyone of you!
just so you know, AF and Brandon Gomes have sent you all a gift. Unfortunately, it won’t arrive until February or early March.
Merry Christmas, Rob.
Is our gift wrapped in Pirates’ colors?
C’mon. Give us a hint.
It will be a surprise, but one that you all will be happy with. 😊😌
Merry Christmas Rob. I really like your Posts. So glad to hear the Dodgers will sign Correa to a 7 year $168M contract with player options to extend indefinitely one year at a time following a 500 plate appearance year.
Won’t be Correa. He’s ideally suited for the Giants. Will give us one more reason to dislike that team.
MLBTR has a list out of the 23 and 24 free agents already. Interesting list, most of the players are in their 30’s.
Saw that. Nobody there that would make a difference.
The Dodgers signed some 4A players. I don’t expect anything else. Could be a ST trade, but, until then? I’ll just watch the Rams and Lakers flounder. Neither with notable draft picks available. sigh.
Winter. I dislikes winter.
Rams didn’t exactly flounder yesterday although it’s meaningless now.
Chargers have motivation to win, Seattle has lost 3 in a row but haven’t been eliminated yet. I suspect the Rams, what’s left of them, will be playing for roster spots somewhere in ‘23. Could be an entertaining two games, but, meaningless is how I would put it too.
