James Outman Does It Again

The highlight of the game was that James Outman has hit for the cycle for the second time in 4 games.  He went 4-4 with 5 RBIs.  Single, double (9), triple (5), 3-run HR (9).

Jason Martin 2-6 with a Grand Slam HR (29), RBI single, 5 RBIs.  He now has 98 RBIs on the season.

Drillers scored five in the 4th.  The big blow was a 3-run HR with 2 outs by Leonel Valera (9).

  • Peter Heubeck started – 3.0 IP.  First two scoreless innings.  In the third a walk and double scored a run.  1 run, 2 hits, 3 walks, 6 strikeouts.
  • Gabe Emmett loaded the bases on 2 singles and a BB, and with 2 out, gave up a 2-run single.  2.0 IP, 2 runs, 4 hits, 1 walk, 3 Ks.
  • Christian Suarez – 2.0 IP, 1 H, 3 K
  • Jacob Meador – 1.0 IP – 2 singles and a sac fly allowed the go ahead run

 

  • Taylor Young hit his 1st HR.  It was a 2-out 2-run HR.

The best part of his cycle for me is that as a left-handed batter he had two hits to center field and two to left field. He looked like Freddie Freeman slicing the ball to left field.

James Outman is indeed very athletic.

Jason Martin is just plain overlooked. His grand slam as a left left-handed batter went to left field.
